Just edited an interview with Fashawn for the new issue of Submerge. I really dug his music—intelligent hip-hop with catchy beats. His debut album Boy Meets World is out now.
Interview with Mike Skinner (The Streets)

I had a good time interviewing Mike. I’ve only heard The Streets in drips and drabs, but I really liked the Everything is Borrowed album. Since they’re all so different, that might be the only one I’ll be into, though. In any case, I like how this one turned out.
Erykah Badu - “The Healer” (live at Good Records; Dallas, Texas)

My interview with Pigeon John and Flynn Adam.

Flynn and John were fun to talk to, even if they had some problems keeping to interview schedule. Their new project Rootbeer is just as enjoyable. It sounds like what I think would be played in an L.A. club populated by people wearing oddly colored, flat-billed New Era baseball caps. Though I say that as someone who has never been to a hip L.A. club before. If you follow the link to the interview, you can check out the title track to their first EP, Pink Limousine.

Wu-Tang Clan - C.R.E.A.M.
Listen to this while rolling down Bay Street and magical things will happen.
GROWN MAN REMIX: An old favorite from my beloved homeland. This is the song I like to listen to when I get dressed up. The lyrics are fitting. Yee yee yee!
It’s hard to listen to something this hyphy when I’m this tired. I’ll have to save it for later.
